As for me, my next computer will be another Mac, because I like Macs and so far, they’re avoiding a lot of the bullshit. Their CEO is stepping down, and he’s best known as a bean counter. He seems like a fun guy to have a cup of coffee with. I’d hang out with Tim Cook. But I didn’t like him as CEO beyond his role as a pitch man. The new guy is an engineer and he’s disliked some of the dumb shit Apple’s done (Vision Pro, the canceled car project, and the iPads having desktop power and a Fisher-Price OS). I think the Apple of 5 years from now will be a lot better. Or at least I hope.
